A delicious and comforting chicken rice casserole topped with turkey bacon.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 cup rice, uncooked
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup turkey bacon, chopped
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon paprika

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the chicken, rice, chicken broth, turkey bacon, onion, garlic, peas, pepper, salt, and paprika.
  3. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish.
  4. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  5. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the rice is tender.

Notes

  • For a creamier texture, add a cup of cream of mushroom soup.
  • Feel free to substitute the turkey bacon with regular bacon for added flavor.
