- 1 pound ground beef
- 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup Swiss cheese, shredded
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 pound egg noodles
- 3 cups beef broth
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add onions and garlic, and sauté until softened.
- Stir in mushrooms, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and thyme. Cook for an additional 5 minutes.
- In a large pot, bring beef broth to a boil, add egg noodles, and cook until al dente.
- Drain the noodles and combine with the beef mixture.
- Add heavy cream and half of the Swiss cheese to the noodle and beef mixture.
- Transfer to a baking dish, top with remaining Swiss cheese, and bake for 20-25 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
