A delicious and easy French Onion Pasta recipe that combines the rich flavors of French onion soup with pasta.

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 large onions, thinly sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 cup grated Gruyère cheese
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a pot, heat olive oil over medium heat and add the onions. Cook until golden brown.
  2. Add garlic and thyme, cooking for another minute.
  3. Pour in the beef broth and bring to a boil. Add pasta and cook according to package instructions.
  4. Stir in the cheese until melted. Season with salt and black pepper.
  5. Serve warm with extra cheese on top if desired.
